BEST TIME TO VISIT
Singapore has a warm and humid climate throughout the year. The average temperature in Singapore is 75 F to 88 F and it is not unusual to have intermittent showers on a sunny day but the showers rarely last long and they provide a cool respite. The rainy season in Singapore is from November till February.
ANNUAL EVENTS
Chinese New Year Celebrations (Jan – Feb): One of Singapore’s biggest festivals, some of the key highlights of the Chinese New Year are the Singapore River Hongbao and the Chingay Parade of Dreams.
Singapore Arts Festival (May – June): This festival features a wide array of performances throughout Singapore that range from classic dance & theatre to highly experimental and cutting-edge works.
Great Singapore Sale (May – July): This is the season for indulging in some major retail therapy with mega shopping malls, suburban malls and even niche stores offering irresistible discounts of up to 70%.
Mid Autumn Festival (August – September): This festival offers a spectacular display of colorful lanterns throughout Chinatown as well as traditional moon cakes and other festive goodies and street light-ups.

Hari Raya (October – November): Hari Raya Puasa marks the end of the Malay fasting month Ramadan. In the days leading up to this, Singapore’s Malay Village is transformed into a bustling market and bazaar where you can pick up delicacies, handicrafts, textiles and more.
Christmas in the Tropics (Nov – Dec): For an unforgettable Christmas, nothing beats a tropical Christmas in Singapore. Besides Orchard Road (Singapore’s famous shopping area) being lit up like a giant Christmas tree, the whole city is in a celebratory mood with concerts, events and parties.
Zouk Out (December): If partying is your scene, you’ll love the internationally famous Zouk Out. It’s an annual Ibiza-styled dance party where clubbers from all over the world come to see the latest world-renown DJs.
Orchard Road. Named for the many famous nutmeg and pepper plantations that lined it in the 40s, Orchard Road is Singapore shopping meca, featuring a wide array of international label brands and trendy Asian designers.
Vivo City. Singapore largest shopping mall to date, you will find over 1 million square feet of retail space.
Chinatown. Purchase traditional Chinese medicine, various types of Chinese tea, Oriental artifacts, traditional Chinese clothing as well as reasonably priced jewelry here.
Kampong Glam. Choose from a wide array of beautiful fabric, Asian furniture, Malay sarongs (wrap skirts) and traditional Malay Batik clothing.
Little India. The perfect place for beautiful saris, spices, curry powder and henna tattoos.
Holland Village and Dempsey Road. Find Bohemian enclaves whose winding streets conceal scores of arts and crafts.
