Pousada de o Tiago – once a Portuguese Fortress, today it is a boutique 5-star property that caters to couples looking for a special place to enjoy some quality time in a historic setting. The property even has its own chapel, which has been used for weddings. The property is also one of the most romantic places for lovebirds to see a sunset.

ROMANTIC ACTIVITIES

Despite the hubbub of the city, many quiet and romantic places can be discovered in Macau.
 
Travessa da Paixão (literally Love Lane), on the Macau peninsula, is a hidden alley popular for romantic walks as it is lined with pink and yellow Portuguese houses and ends with “Man and Lady” statue, in which a Macanese lady approaches a Portuguese gentleman with a flower.
 
‘You Jump, I Jump’ challenge – targeting a more adventurous declaration of love, this challenge invited couple to embrace and take a 764 feet plunge together.
 
Taipa Houses Museum – couples can stroll by vine-covered gazebo with fountains, stone benches and a row of restored mansions, this is a great favorite for wedding photographs.
 
Camoes Garden – a traditional Portuguese garden, named in honor of Portugal's most famous writer, Luis Camoes.  Couples can stroll down this garden and read examples of Camoes poems and prose throughout the garden. There are benches shaded by banyan trees and a bronze sculpture entitled "Embrace", specially made to symbolize the centuries' old friendship between Portugal and China.
 
Lou Lim Ieoc Garden - another perfect spot for couple looking for a romantic long stroll, the traditional Chinese garden is also the home of the annual Lotus Flower Festival.
 
And the food of love? In Macau, its Portuguese tarts, serradura pudding, sliced-egg cake and steamed milk.
